CINEMATOGRAPHERS | NISI MASA Soap

I was born in Barcelona in 1977 without giving much trouble. Since I was little I
have enjoyed everything related with images. Creating them. Sharing, explaining
them. Some might have thought I was a runt fibber sometimes, but all I recounted was
created from my imagination and believed as if it was real. And even today some of
those images remain in my memories as very clear snapshots that still belong, maybe
not to my real life, but to my own personal reality.

I became a teenager and images continued fascinating me so I started investigating the
world of photography, which in turn led me to the world of the image in movement.

After taking some photography courses I entered the ESCAC (Escola Superior of
Cinema i Audiovisuals of Catalonia). My passion for cinema had already been
developed. I graduated as a cinematographer in 2000.

In 2002, I obtained a scholarship to extend my studies of cinematography in the
EICTV, the school of cinema of San Antonio de los Baños, in Cuba.

Nowadays, I live and work as a cinematographer in Barcelona. I mainly work in
commercials, music videos and feature documentaries. I have done several features
fictions as a 2nd unit cinematographer and as a cameraman, though. Some of them
have obtained a really warm reception from critics and audience in theatre screenings
and festivals.
